 Pool CLOSED EVERY WEDNESDAY from 1st April for maintenance

It is our policy to be fair and honest with the visitors to our fishery and for this reason we have no silly rules. Very few visitors are banned from the site or told to leave but the bailiff or staff will send anglers away if they blatantly disregard the rules that we do have.​
There is NO LONGER A DEPOSIT FOR THE LANDING EQUIPMENT , however Fishery equipment MUST still be used.

General rules

No litter please – take all litter home with you or place in bins – this includes cigarette ends and tea bags

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DAMAGE OR HANG ITEMS OFF THE ELECTRIC FENCE ON THE RIVER BANK SIDE

ANYONE CAUGHT CLIMBING OVER THE GATE OR FENCE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE

No under 16s without an experienced parent/guardian

We only allow a non-fishing partner or son/daughter to stay over night

Please respect the newly planted trees and shrubs between the swims.

Fishing is only from designated swims

We are in contact with other fisheries around the area, so if you get banned from here then you can expect to be banned from them aswell. The other fishery owners will be contacted and your details passed on, as they will do for us! 

Fish care

Rods must not be left unattended in the water (i.e. You must not be more than 1 swim away)

All anglers MUST use our carp cradles, weigh slings, & landing nets 

Fish must always be transported from unhooking mats back to the water in slings provided

When photographing fish please do so over the unhooking mat/cradle kneeling down not standing

All anglers must all posses carp care antiseptic e.g. Klin-ik

Tackle and Bait

Micro Barbed hooks only. Rigs will be checked
LEADCORE & LEADLESS BRAIDED LEADERS ARE BANNED (SAFE ZONE LEADERS OR TUBING ONLY)

Zig fishing is permitted

Minimum strength line 12lb

No braided main line (Braided hook link is fine)

NO NUTS,LUNCHEON MEAT, BREAD OR CHEESE of any sort to be used

Particles may be used if prepared correctly (available onsite )

Maggots maybe used Nov-March

 No fixed leads

Rigs must be safe with the lead able to eject if the fish gets snagged

Korda style lead clips , but the tail rubber must not be forced down to tight to prevent the lead ejecting

Surface fishing is permitted, please respect other anglers and wildfowl.

Care and respect for other anglers

Radios are allowed but must be kept to a minimum so as neighbouring anglers are not disturbed

 No bait boats or dinghies. Do NOT use the boat on site

 Be courteous to others, antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated

Keep within the boundaries of your swim. Rods fished outside boundaries must be wound in when challenged

Strictly no tents (I.E Camping tents bright yellow etc). Proper green fishing bivvy’s only

We operate a zero tolerance policy to any acts of aggression or abuse towards its staff. The owners/management of Bells Mill Fishery Ltd accept no responsibility or liability for any personal loss, damage, or injury whilst using our facility. Water is hazardous, please use caution and common sense when lakeside. Each person using our fishery does so at there own risk
